Amy Carlson

 


Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7th the 7th of July, 1968) is an American actress best known for her portrayals as Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods and as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap drama Another World.


 


 Childhood and early life


 Carlson was born in Elmhurst, [[DuPage County, Illinoisnear Chicago, and was raised in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, the daughter of schoolteacher parents, Barbara Jane (Hultman) and Robert Eugene Carlson. She is of Swedish descent and has roots in Smaland.


 


 Career


 1986-1992: college and early careers


 She first came to Hollywood through her role as a background actress in the film Lucas with Charlie Sheen, Corey Haim as well as Winona Ryder. Later, she went with her sister Betsy (Knox College) to Galesburg.

  Malin Maria Akerman, who was born on 12 May 1978 in Sweden, is an American and Swedish actress. She played small roles on film and television as well, in both American as well as Canadian productions like The Utopian Society (2003), Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004). After being an assistant on HBO's mockumentary show The Comeback (2005) she was offered her first lead part in the romantic comedy films 27 Dresses (2008) and The Heartbreak Kid (2006).
